I am thoroughly intrigued by this new collection at Urban Outfitters. Where The Wild Things Are is a collaboration between Brooklyn designer Mary Meyer and Urban Outfitters that has produced some very interesting pieces with childlike drawing inspired patterns, easy shapes and fabrics to wear, and adds a versatile edge to your wardrobe without liberating your savings from a ceramic pig.
I caved, and ended up buying
these leggings...I couldn't resist the pattern- it also reminds me of Charlie Brown...but the wide cuffs and waistband made the pajama pant appeal too hard to resist. Plus they're better than boring black leggings, and cheaper than American Apparel. Haha. Sorry for the lack of pictures, Urban Outfitters has a terrible habit of using Adobe Flash Player and thus foils my attempts to hijack photography.
Also, the Hope Marion by Lizzie Fortunato Collection has exceeded my expectations and I am blown out of the water by the "Lizzie Fortunato-Lite" version of her jewelry. I believe that this collection is a partnership with her sister...but my memory is failing today.
Either way, take a look at the "Where The Wild Things Are" and "Hope Marion by Lizzie Fortunato" Collections at Urban Outfitters.
I worry about praising Urban Outfitters too often, I'm afraid their propaganda nation will expand, and the world of fashion will collapse into itself.
But I think its safe to get excited about the Mega-Corp. just this one time
