PHOTOS AND SHOPPING

I've been getting really behind with Diplodocus lately, I apologize. Final projects and exams for my bio class have been taking up all of my time. But I want to share with you some photos of my recent purchases (I'll post outfit pictures when I'm done editing) And I will also post pictures of my recent DIY project - the most amazing cuffed acid wash denim shorts on earth. Seriously, I'm so proud of myself. It's an epic transformation! I'm wearing them now with a brown leather belt, taupe j.crew v neck boyfriend tissue T, sterling 'chain mail' geometric necklace, light blue boy's button down shirt (open), american apparel sunglasses, and white keds. So, besides the unnecessary description of my outfit (which I have terrible pictures of to post later), I'm going to share my shopping history.

WHITE KEDS! I mean, can you think of a better summer sneaker? My friend Francesca bought them in black recently, and she told me that I needed a pair of my own. Since then, I have been wearing them nonstop! I feel like I'm wearing slippers. So comfortable. I can understand why the 8 year old version of me used to wear them all the time.

Oh, did I mention that I also got them in this color as well? I'm replacing Converse with Keds as my go-to sneaker from now on. Seriously. Bye-bye, expensive Converse. I'm sorry, you're too difficult to break in and you stay clean far too long. Keds, you are comfortable without socks right out of the box, and you can take a beating without falling apart. I AM NUTS. It's official.

But seriously they're pretty great.

I had to buy another American Apparel sweatshirt last week. My two best friends and I all have this sweatshirt in Cranberry. And since we all know that Cranberry is the greatest color of American Apparel sweatshirts - we end up wearing the exact same thing at the same time quite a bit. To solve this problem, Kathryn has a "backup sweatshirt" in Sea Blue, leaving Francesca and I with no alternative colors I decided it was a good opportunity to add more of my favorite sweatshirt to my closet. I ended up spending at least 30 minutes standing in American Apparel trying to pick a color. "I can't get Sea Blue or Forest, because Kathryn and Sean have those, I can't get Navy Blue, Purple, Lapis or Black because more of my close friends wear those ones...the striped and polka dot versions kinda suck (sorry) and I'm very picky. So I see this color hiding on the other side of the rack - perfection! Another dark, neutral colored piece of clothing added to my wardrobe. Hooray. I will remain monochrome forever!

La la la, I'll post many many pictures later. I'm a bit overloaded with photos so some entries might have minimal explanation, but I am determined to share all the photos very soon!

I agree with those sneakers being an awesome choice for summer sneakers! I am actually going to buy a pair myself literally because not only do I like them, but also because I heard they are super comfortable. Now you have confirmed my thoughts on the shoes.
